 If your schedule it tight and you want to make the most of your time in Iceland, our two day riding tour just outside

 of Reykjavík can be what you are looking for. Discover great riding tracks through lava fields in the vicinity of our

 Riding Centre.

 Your first riding day introduces you to the Icelandic horse and its special gaits. Riding along pleasant riding tracks

 you discover the terrain shaped by volcanic power centuries ago. After lunch you circle the extinct volcano Mt.

 Helgafell and enjoy the sure-footed horses on a variety of tracks. The next day you head out provided with a

 packed lunch and explore Heiðmörk Nature Park. Our Riding Centre offers many different horses to choose from

 and our friendly and competent riding guides make this tour an enjoyable experience.
 One night is spent at the Viking Hotel in Hafnarfjörður, a unique theme hotel dedicated to Vikings and Nordic myths.

 All rooms are equipped with private facilities and dinner is served in one of the hotel’s restaurants. This tour is ideal

 for those who want to train for our longer rides.
 

Day 1 Wed REYKJAVIK - HAFNARFJORDUR (D)

ransfer to the Ishestar Riding Centre. After a short introduction to the horses we head off into the lovely countryside for a relaxed morning ride. We ride along pleasant riding tracks and discover the terrain shaped by volcanic power centuries ago. After lunch we circle the extinct volcano Mt. Helgafell and enjoy the sure-footed horses on a variety of tracks. Transfer to the Viking Hotel in Hafnarfjörður for dinner and overnight stay. (Rest of the evening at your own disposal). (18 km)

Day 2 Thu HEIDMORK NATURE PARK (B, L)
Return to the Riding Centre where we receive our picnic lunch and off we go on great day tour through Heiðmörk Nature Park. Visit Maríuhellir Lava Cave and mighty Búrfellsgjá fissure. Whether you join this tour in spring, summer or fall, riding on good riding tracks in this fascinating landscape is a great experience. After the ride transfer back to Reykjavík where you arrive at approx. 17:00. (25 km)
