Day 1 DEPART
THE U.S.
Depart from the U.S. on your
transatlantic flight to Reykjavik,
Iceland on Icelandair.
Day 2 ARRIVAL REYKJAVIK
Arrival in Reykjavik. Transfer to
your hotel. You'll have the rest of
the day to explore this vibrant
capital with its many museums,
galleries and restaurants. Overnight
in Reykjavik.
Day 3 REYKJAVIK (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Optional
shore excursions include the Golden
Circle, whale watching, the Westman
Island; Lake Myvatn or a Glacier
Adventure on Europe's largest
glacier.

Day 4 REYKJAVIK - EMBARKATION (B, D)
In the evening, transfer to the MS
Fram for embarkation. A welcome
meeting is held after embarkation.
Day 5 GRUNDARFJORDUR (B, L, D)
Enjoy the spectacular views of the
forbidding Hegrindur Mountain
(ridges of hell) and the prominent
landmark Kirkjufell Mountain across
the harbor.

Day 6 AT SEA (B, L, D)
While at sea, enjoy a variety of
lectures.
Day 7 TASIILAQ (B, L, D)
The Inuit culture has an
important role to play in everyday
life, but Tasiilaq is also a modern
community. Learn more about the city
by going on a town walk, go on a
hike to the flower valley, or take
an adventurous dog sled ride.
Day 8 AT SEA (B, L, D)
A series of lectures will be
held onboard on topics related to
history and wildlife in the area.
Day 9 UUNARTOQ (B, L, D)
At Uunartoq, you find the best and
most accessible hot springs in
Greenland. Take the option for a dip
in the warm springs surrounded by
mountainous icebergs and the Arctic
nature.
Day 10 QASSIARSUK (B, L, D)
Take a quick walk around and visit
the reconstruction of Erik Raude's
longhouse and Thjodhildes' church.

Day 11 QAQORTOG (B, L, D)
The town square has Greenland's
oldest fountain and the square is
encircled by some of the most
well-preserved buildings from the
colonial era.
Day 12 IVITTUUT (B, L, D)
Arriving at the smallest
community in Greenland, Ivittuut is
a former cryolite mine, which was
extracted for use by the Allies
during World War II. Today you have
the option to take a walk around the
community or join on a PolarCirkel
cruise in the Karsakn strait.

Day 13 NUUK (B, L, D)
Tour the capital by bus and
visit the Greenland National Museum,
or visit the newly opened Art Museum
on your own. Other options include
whale watching, a helicopter tour
over the glaciers and Norse ruins or
a hike by the Nuukfjord.
Day 14 AT SEA (B, L, D)
While you are at sea, a series
of lectures will be held onboard on
topics related to history and
wildlife in the area.
Day 15 SISIMIUT (B, L, D)
Arrive in Sisimiut, the second
largest town in Greenland. Whether
you partake in the city walk or one
of the optional excursions, you'll
be rewarded with fantastic views of
the town, sea and mountains.
Day 16 EQIP SERMIA (B, L, D)
See the glacier Eqip Sermia.
Weather permitting, you can take the
PolarCirkel ashore and join in on a
BBQ dinner with a terrific view over
the glacier.

Day 17 ILULISSAT (B, L, D)
Enormous icebergs run aground
here at the mouth of the fjord,
originating from the Jakobshavn
Glacier, the most productive glacier
in the world.
Day 18 KANGERLUSSUAQ - USA (L)
Return to Kangerlussuaq. The
town lies just north of the Arctic
Circle and is one of the best places
to observe native wildlife.
Disembark the ship and transfer to
Kangerlussuaq for your return flight
to the U.S.
