Norway has the highest concentration of fjords in the world, and the Nærøyfjord is perhaps the most spectacular arm of the Sognefjord and the narrowest fjord in the world. Two of Norway's most scenic fjords are Norway’s first natural attraction on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Cultural sites include the "Bryggen" wharf in Bergen, the old mining town of Røros and the Urnes Stave Church on the Sognefjord. The citation from Unesco states that the Nærøyfjord and Geirangerfjord regions are among the most beautiful fjord landscapes on the globe.

Our new Heritage tour proudly features magnificent cruises on the Sognefjord and Nærøyfjord, a spectacular train ride on the Flam Railway, the historic Kvikne's Hotel, and Bergen, with Bryggen, the old Hanseatic wharf, being one of the five cultural sites on the World Heritage List. Day 1 OSLO

Individual arrival in Oslo. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the first class Hotel Opera, ideally located in the city center near the Oslo Central Station and Karl Johan-Street.

Day 2 OSLO - FLAM RAILWAY - FLAM (B, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure on the scenic Bergenbanen through the Hallingdal Valley, via Geilo and across a mountain plateau to Myrdal. Ride the famous Flåm Railway, descending 2,840 feet in 12 miles, into the wild Flåm Valley, passing spectacular scenery of waterfalls, mountain cliffs, tiny settlements and farms. Walk to your hotel upon arrival. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 SOGNEFJORD - GUDVANGEN - FLAM (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. This afternoon enjoy the excursion though the Sogne Fjord to Gudvangen. Enjoy two stops en route for a short look around in Undredal and in Styvi. Return to Flam by bus. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 FLAM - BALESTRAND (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. This afternoon depart by Sogne Fjord cruise to Balestrand. Short walking transfer from the pier to the hotel (3 minutes). The Kvikne's Hotel offers a free shuttle to transport the luggage. This evening enjoy the world famous buffet dinner, beautifully prepared by the Swiss Chef.

Day 5 BALESTRAND - SOGNE FJORD CRUISE - BERGEN (B)
After breakfast, depart for an unforgettable cruise through the Sogne Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Spectacular scenery as the boat winds through the narrow passages of the fjord out to the west coast of Norway and through the archipelago to Bergen. Early afternoon arrival in Bergen, short walking transfer on your own to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore the sights like the Fish and Flower Market, Bryggen, Troldhaugen, museum and home of Norway's famous composer Edvard Grieg. Overnight at the the charming Admiral Hotel, beautifully located on the waterfront in the city center with panoramic view over Bryggen and the Harbor.

Day 6 BERGEN (B)
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast before check out.
