Baltic scenes

During the long sunlit days of the northern summer, the historic cities along the Baltic Sea come alive with color and vitality. Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius are rich in history, architectural splendors and revitalized culture. Tallinn, an important port from long ago, has become a bridge between East and West. The beautiful Old Town with its medieval architecture and slender church spires is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Riga is the capital of the Republic of Latvia, the state's administrative and political center and the largest city in the Baltic States. Often called a “small Paris”, its history is dating back many centuries. Its Old Town, the most ancient part of the city has been preserved from the 13th century. Because of its uniqueness, the Old Town was inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List. Vilnius is often called a baroque city, but you will find buildings of gothic and renaissance styles.
