Escorted
tour to Iceland. Are you
looking for an adventure? Based in the southern town
of Selfoss and the capital Reykjavik, this activity
holiday takes you right into Iceland's nature, with
challenging adventures. Enjoy the Great Geyser Hot
spring area, Thingvellir National Park and the
majestic Gullfoss Waterfall. Walk close to
glaciers and hot springs, river raft on the
magnificent Hvítá river (White River), horse back
ride through lava fields, mountain bike in the unspoiled
nature of Heiðmörk. Our
accommodation in Selfoss is in comfortable wooden
chalets with private facilities. Enjoy a dip in one
of the hot pools nearby to relax in after a days
activity. In Reykjavík you stay in the newly
furnished rooms at our Guest House close to the
swimming pool and sporting complex. Relax with an
invigorating swim in the geothermal, healing
waters of the Blue Lagoon; the soothing,
mineral-rich water is rumored to have curative
powers. Spend the last
night in Reykjavik with plenty of time to explore
and shop!

Day 1 WALKING THROUGH HISTORY (D)
We start our walk through history by visiting one of the central historical places of the country, the old parliament site at Þingvellir. After our walk through the historical sites we head to the other side of Iceland’s largest lake, Þingvallavatn to Nesjavellir geothermal area. This afternoon we will have the choice of a kayak or snorkeling adventure before we continue to Selfoss
for dinner. Accommodation for the next three nights
is in Hveragerði.
Day 2 RAFTING THE WHITE RIVER (B, D)
After visiting the hot springs of Geysir we
get our first view of the Hvítá river as it thunders
over Gullfoss waterfall. The rafting starts below
the waterfall close to the canyon of Pjaxi and takes
around 2
hours through some exciting rapids and deep gorges.
Tonight we enjoy an Icelandic BBQ!

Day 3 NATURE AND BIRD LIFE
(B, D)
Traveling along the south shore we visit waterfalls, glaciers, the black sandy beach and one of Scandinavia’s finest folk museums at Skógar. We continue to the small village of Vik for lunch. Our afternoon is spent viewing some fantastic birdlife en-route to the fishing village of Stokkseyri where we enjoy a Lobster feast, by the ocean shore! After dinner we return to the hotel and spend our last night in
Hveragerði.

Day 4 VIKING HORSES AND THE BLUE LAGOON (B,
L)
We start the day heading to Reykjavík where we meet
our Icelandic horses for the next part of our
adventure. The horses are trained both for beginners
and experienced riders, and we enjoy a
1½ hour riding tour
through lava fields. After a light lunch we visit
the Blue Lagoon, one of the worlds most exciting hot
springs.
The next two nights are spent in Reykjavík. While
here, only breakfast is included so as to give you
the opportunity to visit some of the capital’s many
and varied restaurants.

Day 5 WHALE WATCHING - MOUNTAIN
BIKES - HIKING (B)
The day begins with a 3-hour cruise
in search of the whales and dolphins of Iceland.
Following the cruise, mountain bikes are provided
for a journey into Heiðmörk, a beautiful wooded area
not far from the capital.
Day 6 DEPARTURE (B)
Your tour ends after breakfast.
