 Q: Is there a hospital onboard Norröna
 A: MF Norröna is equipped with a hospital. The hospital can supply some medical medicine as required

 by the authorities.  The Chief Officer is the medical officer on board and is able to assist with first aid.
 The Chief Officer is in directly contact with the main hospital in Tórshavn if professional advice is needed.
 If necessary doctors assistant can be transported to the ship by helicopter or the passenger can be picked

 up and transported to the nearest hospital.
 It is possible to get doctor assistance by helicopter in all areas when Norröna is sailing.

 Q: What if I easily get seasick
 A: If needed anti sea sick pills can be obtained from the Reception.
 
 Tickets & Payments
 Q: I am traveling across two price periods. How do I calculate the cost?
 A: If you choose a Hotel Package the departure date indicate the cost. However, if you depart at the

 last low season and return on the first high season, you will be charged for the low season hotel package.
 A: Car Packages are one way and differ in price for low and high season
 
 Q: how can I pay for my ticket?
 A: You can pay by bank transfer, by cash and by credit card – always remember to advice on the booking no.

 (the BN number on your confirmation).

 Q: Currency onboard
 A: Currency onboard is DKK. However, you can pay with EUR, NOK, USD, GBP, SEK and ISK notes

 (not coins) and in this regard the ships exchange rate of the day is the valid one.

 It is advisable to   exchange money before you go onboard.

 Cabins
 Q: Please describe the cabins onboard
 A: Couchette is a berth in a 6 or 9 berth room. The couchette includes a mattress but it is not made up.

 Bring along a sleeping bag or the like. Bed cover can be rented for (kr. 50).

 You do not have access  for the luggage boxes in connection with the accommodation in the couchettes.
 A: Inner 3 or 4 berth cabins include shower/toilet, TV, hair dryer and trouser press.
 A: Outer 2, 3 and 4 berth cabins include shower/toilet, TV, hair dryer and trouser press, window and refrigerator.
 A: The cabins for disabled travelers are all on deck 5 and 6. They are all 4-berth cabins. The corridor, room and

 bathroom are very roomy with space between the berths.

 Emergency cord placed by the front door and in the bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with a low washbasin,

 the mirror at a tilt, purpose-built chair.

 The cabin has a refrigerator and a window. There are 6 cabins in this category available.
 A: Luxury cabins have the same conveniences as outer cabins, but they are also equipped with a comfortable

 three-piece suite and a double bed. The luxury cabins are very spacious.
 A: The suite represents the finest of quality. It is very spacious and consists of 4 rooms.

 A sitting room including good view and a comfortable 4-piece-suite, a dressing room, a bedroom with double bed

 and a bathroom with Jacuzzi, 2 washbasins etc.

 Facilities

 A: Naust Bar = deck 6

 Fitness area = deck 1 – use the lift on the front of the ship, not in the back where Reception is located

 Q: Can you order a wake-up call from the reception?
 A: This is not a regular service, but will be on individual request at the reception. If in a De Lux cabin, the wake up 

 call can be made via the telephone from the reception.

 Q: Do I have access to the car deck during sailing?
 A: The regulation says: “no, admittance to the car deck while sailing”.

 Q: What is the price for the solarium
 A: DKK 45 for 12 minutes. You have to buy pullets at the reception onboard.

 Q: Is there a fitness instructor on board during the opening hours of the fitness room?
 A: Yes, however, he will not be attending the whole time and only during summer season.

 Guests may check the daily activity list brought to every room upon departure.

 Q: Is there someone looking after children who are in the swimming pool
 A: Parents have at all time the responsibility for the children at the swimming pool and fitness area.

 Children under 15 years must always be accompanied by parent/s.

 Kennel
 Q: Can I bring my pet?
 A: A min. stay of 3 months is required before you can bring your pet to the Faroes (www.hfs.fo) and is not

 allowed to Iceland if only for vacation.

 Live animals may be imported only with a permit from the  Ministry of Agriculture in Iceland www.stjr.is/lan

 It is not allowed to bring pets inside the passenger cabins and neither in any of the inside public areas.

 All pets are kindly shown to the outside areas. An outside kennel is provided for pets, however at the pet owners

 responsibility.

 Disability
 Q: Is there special facilities for disabled travelers
 A: Norröna is equipped with 6 cabins especially facilitating disabled travelers (see cabin descriptions)
 Q: Do Wheelchair users have easy access to all areas onboard the ship?
 A: 2 Lifts are in the front and at the back of the ship. The lifts are facilitating deck 2 to deck 8.

 The pool and fitness area are on deck 1, so no lift is available to this area.

 Wheelchair users do need assistance to access the outer decks.

 Otherwise, it is easy to come around the ship with a Wheelchair. Please always inform disability when you book

 your travel.

 Allergy
 Q: Are there special cabins for allergic guests onboard and is special allergic food available on the menu
 A: All cabins onboard are equipped with carpets and no non/allergic cabins are available.

 Special food for allergic guests is not on the menu, however, it will be possible to prepare special non-allergic food.

 However, this does require that guest’s advice on this and what they are allergic to as early as possible to the

 booking personnel. Vegetarian food is on the menu onboard.

 Car Measures
 Q: what do I do if my car exceeds the standard height of 1,90 m height and 5 m length in high season.
 A: Cars over 1,90 meter. in height and over 5 m in length require a surcharge, this information can be obtained

 from the office or on this website under prices.

 Luggage
 Q: How much luggage can I bring with me onboard.
 A: Up to approx. 200 kg. personal belonging is allowed. If the luggage contains commercial goods, please contact

 our freight department.
 
 Baby Carriage
 Q: Can I bring my baby carriage onboard the ship?
 A: Yes, baby carriage can be brought onboard and can be used for transportation around the ship.

 However, for safety reasons the baby carriage must not be left on the corridors but can be kept inside the cabin.

 Passport and VISA
 Q: Do I need VISA and/or passport when traveling to your destinations.
 A: Scandinavian and EU citizens do not require a VISA, however, at all times it is necessary to bring along a

 valid passport. The traveler is always responsible to have valid travel documents to show when necessary.

 Customs
 Q: How are the custom rules to your destinations
 A: To NORWAY - 1 liter. alcohol and 1 liter. wine or 1 liter. table wine, 2 liter. beer, 200 cigarettes or

 250 g tobacco, 1 kg chocolate. The value must not exceed NOK 5000, -.

 To DENMARK - 1 liter. alcohol or 2 liter. wine, 2 liter. table vine, 200 cigarettes or 250 g tobacco,

 50 g perfume and 250 ml toilet water. Beer, chocolate and other goods may not exceed a value of DKK  1350, -.

 To ICELAND - 1 liter. spirits, 1 liter. wine and 200 cigarettes or 250 g of other tobacco products or 1 liter. spirits,

 6 liter. beer and 200 cigarettes or 250 g of other tobacco products or 1 liter. wines, 6 liter. beer and 200 cigarettes

 or 250 g of other tobacco products or 2,25 liter. wines and 200 cigarettes or 250 g of other tobacco products.

 Q: Do I pay Diesel Tax in Iceland?
 A: All guests arriving to Iceland with a Diesel Car are to fill in a formula, which can be obtained from the reception

 onboard. The payments can be done directly onboard.

 Shetland Islands
 Q: How do I get around?
 A: Getting around Shetland is very easy. The best way to see Shetland is to hire a car, which is cheap

 and readily available from various local companies. All of our roads are very high quality and virtually traffic free

 outside Lerwick. We also have an excellent network of public transport with regular busses going to nearly every

 corner of Shetland! Go to http://www.shetland.gov.uk/bus_air/bustimetable.pdf for timetables.

 Q: Do all ferries take vehicles?
 A:  All the inter island ferries take vehicles. It doesn't cost much to use the ferries and it is advisable to book your 

 place on the ferry by calling the local booking offices.

 Q: How do I get most out of my stop over on your islands?
 A: From May to September we work in partnership with various local tour operators to offer

 Q: how to reach to the port - from the nearest high way(s)
 A: The Ferry Terminal is easy to find in Lerwick. From the Market Cross drive along the Esplanade,

 (Lerwick's main shopping district) until you reach the Viking Bus Station roundabout.

 Continue straight ahead and keep going until you reach another roundabout at North Lochside.

 Take the road straight ahead and follow the road until you see the ferry terminal on the right hand side of the road.

 Q: How to get to the nearest highway when arriving at the port.
 A: The main road is directly in front of the Ferry Terminal. If you want to go into Lerwick's Town Centre

 turn left. If your accommodation is in the West or North Mainland turn right as you leave the terminal and

 follow the road out of Lerwick. If your accommodation is in the South Mainland it is advisable to turn left into

 Lerwick until you reach the North Lochside roundabout. Take the road on your right and drive along

 lochside until you reach the large roundabout at Safeway's supermarket. Take the third turn and follow this

 road out of Lerwick.

 Q: How to get to the nearest gas station when arriving at the port
 A: Turn left from the ferry terminal and drive until you reach the North Lochside roundabout. On your left you

 will find a garage.
 Q: How to get to the closest shopping centre/super market when arriving at the port. 
 A: There is a shopping centre very near to the ferry terminal. It is easy to find because it is red.

 There is also a supermarket next door.

 Q: Where to park your car close to the port if not bringing it onboard and how much it cost.
 A: There is a long term car park on the grounds of the ferry terminal. Parking here is free.

 Norway
 Q: how to reach to the port- from the nearest highway(s).
 A: The Skolten Ferry Terminal is located in the city centre of Bergen at the same side of the

 bay as the Bryggen and Haakonshallen.

 From the north and east (E39 and E16): Drive to city centre until you pass the toll road register point

 close to the city centre do not stop - invoice will be sent!) Take next road to the right after passing

 and go on for 1 km until you see the Skolten Terminal at the same time as the road turns 90

 (to the left. Go on for 500 m. You pass the car check-in area and turn sharp right. The route is

 marked "international" + a ferry symbol (yellow signs)

 From the south (E39): Drive to city centre until you pass the toll road register point close to the city centre

 do not stop - invoice will be sent!) Get in lane marked yellow sign "international" + a ferry symbol. Follow signs

 (do not change lane) until you pass the Fish Market. Go on along the old houses of Bryggen until they are passed.

 Turn left at the traffic light marked with International Ferry and you are in the check-area for cars.

 Foot passengers check in at the Skolten Terminal next to "Norröna". Passengers in cars check in with the car and

 remain there until after boarding.

 Q: How to get to the nearest highway when arriving at the port.
 A: Going north or east: Turn left from the Skolten Terminal where you arrive
 and follow signs for E16 and E39
