HARDANGER FJORD DISCOVERY 2009

4 days / 3 nights, Oslo - Flam - Voss -

Hardanger Fjord - Ulvik - Bergen

The Hardanger Fjord - the Orchard of Norway! The country's second largest fjord, Hardanger, is situated in the heart of Fjord Norway. Breathtaking scenery varies from scenic waterways, apple and cherry orchards, hiking trails and snow-covered mountain plateau. Enter the Hardangervidda National Park with two of Norway’s largest glaciers, Folgefonna and Hardangerjøkulen. Enjoy some of Norway’s most popular waterfalls, including Vøringfossen, Steinsdalsfossen and Låtefossen. The region, rich in folklore, offers many museums, including the Hardanger Folk Museum and Hardanger Ships Preservation Center museum. 
 

Day 01 OSLO 
Arrive Oslo and transfer on your own to the hotel. Spend the day at your leisure. 

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 OSLO  - VOSS - ULVIK (B, D)
Breakfast at your hotel before departure. Departure is just right by your hotel. Start on your journey to Ulvik and Hardanger.Train from Oslo S Centralstation to Myrdal. Change train at Myrdal – just across the platform. Flåm Railway from Myrdal to Flåm. Arrive the tranquilant village of Flåm. Time for lunch perhaps (not incl.), relax and enjoy the nice village of Flåm. Boat from Flåm to Gudvangen on the Nærøyfjord. Arrive Gudvangen and walk up the pier to the bus that you follow to Voss. Bus from Gudvangen to Voss. Arrive Voss and transfer by Brakanes Hotel Coach that will take you to Ulvik. Arrive Ulvik and check into the hotel that is situated just on the fjord side of the Hardangerfjord. 
Dinner and overnight at  the hotel.

Day 03 ULVIK - BERGEN  (B)
Buffet breakfast at your hotel. The morning’s free to explore Ulvik. Depart this afternoon by ferry to Nordheimsund and continue by bus to Bergen. Early evening arrival in Bergen. Transfer on your own to the hotel. Overnight at your hotel, ideally located near the waterfront. Overnight at your hotel.

Accommodation: First Hotel Marin

 

Day 04 BERGEN (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. End of services.

Optional nights in Bergen and additional sightseeing available.
