Experience the ultimate highlights of South
Greenland and the Arctic nature. This tour will
take you around the
Golden Triangle of South
Greenland covering most aspects of Greenlandic
history and everyday life in the Arctic.
Visit the village of Alluitsup Paa, founded as a trading station in 1830, the largest village in the district of Nanortalik,
with nearly 500 inhabitants. Alluitsup Paa is in many ways very unique: In spite of its location the village is similar -
except for the sledge dogs - to villages in the Disko Bay Area.
Join optional excursions to the hot springs of Uunnartoq, which have been the centre of human activity throughout
history. At Uunnartoq itself there is a natural bathing pool at 37°C! Further north you find the former Moravian
mission station at Lichtenau in the Lichtenau Fjord. Continue on an exciting cruise by Coastal Steamer through
beautiful Eric's Fjord to Narsarsuaq. Choices of excursions are many: Eric the Red's Viking Ruins, Qassiarsuk and
Tasiusaq, the village of Igaliku, Qooroq Icefjord, Hiking to the Ice Cap, or a city tour of Narsarsuaq.
