Snow Boarding

Many people think that this is exactly what Geilo has. The best snowboarders come here to become even better, while others have enough to work on keeping up with the laws of gravity while they practice backside and front side rodeos, or perform a high backside air with indy grab.
You can do a board slide on the rail, and the Volkswagen beetle on the slope is ready for a nose & tail bunk.
The Super Pipe at Fugleleiken - Norway’s coolest half pipe
With a height of 5.70 meters and length of 150 meters, the new half pipe on Geilo’s sunny side looks huge and formidable.
It is Northern Europe’s largest half pipe, but it is also suitable for beginners. More than NOK 1.2 million has been invested in special maintenance equipment for the snowboard parks, for the benefit of our snowboard guests.

Cross Country
The majestic Hallingskarvet mountain watches over everything and everyone. Round the mountain there are endless kilometers of inviting cross country tracks. A cross country ski trip is so much more than just walking up and along. A mouthful of healthy and good life is what you get. Enjoy it! The municipality of Hol has a total of 500 km of prepared and/or marked cross country tracks. There are a total of 215 km prepared cross country tracks in the Geilo/Ustaoset area. 40 km are in woodland, 175 km are on the high mountains, 26 km are prepared for using skating technique, 5 km are floodlit.
Downhill
36 downhill slopes, 19 lifts, 3 snowboard areas. Children’s skiing areas.
Geilo has a varied network of well-prepared downhill slopes. They have a high level of safety and allow plenty of space for you and your style of skiing. From November until May you can choose almost all types of slope - steep and wide, long and easy.
Non Skier
For the non-skier there are ample opportunities to take part in winter activities such as dog- or reindeer sledding, horse drawn sleight, snowmobile safari or drive on a racetrack. In addition there are in-door activities such as luxurious spa and health treatments, visiting museums and great possibilities for shopping. If traveling in a group, small or large, we can make programs specially suited the groups needs and desires.
One will experience and warm and intimate atmosphere in Geilo. Traditional hotels, shops, restaurants and pubs in the town centre give the village an ‘alpine town’ look. You can choose between a range of different accommodations such as hotels in different price categories, cabins, apartments, bed and breakfast, and hostels l located both in and outside the town centre. ITINERARY
Day 1 Sun ARRIVAL IN OSLO
Transfer on your own to the Oslo city center. The high-speed train departs right from the airport to the Oslo Central Train Station. Short walking transfer to your hotel, ideally located in the city center by the train station. Overnight at the Hotel Opera.
Day 2 Mon OSLO - GEILO - WINTER ACTIVITIES (B, D)
Morning departure by train from the Oslo Central Train Station to Geilo. Enjoy the 4-hour scenic ride on the Bergenbanen through the Hallingdal Valley and across the Hardanger Vidda mountain plateau to Geilo. Check-in at your accommodation of choice, where you will stay for the next four nights. Afternoon time at leisure for skiing or snowboarding, or perhaps take a stroll through Geilo. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation of choice*.
Day 2 - 6 Mon - Fri GEILO - WINTER ACTIVITIES (B, D)
Breakfast buffet at your hotel daily before you head out for a fun-filled day. Snowboarders find a great variety of runs and challenges are plenty!
The Geilo Ski center offers a lot of challenges, is constantly being developed, and the slopes get prepared daily. Enjoy many activities such as dog- sledding, snow mobile safaris, sleigh rides, indoor climbing facilities, ice-fishing or hiking and walking. Geilo the perfect winter resort for the entire family! Day 6 Fri GEILO - DEPARTURE FOR OSLO (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure for skiing or other activities. Afternoon train from Geilo to Oslo Central Station. Overnight at the Hotel Opera.
Day 7 OSLO DEPARTURE (B)
Enjoy your breakfast buffet at the hotel. Check-out and end of program.
