Day 1  ARRIVAL KIRUNA OR KITTILÄ (L, D)
After the flight to Kiruna or Kittilä airport, you will be picked up by your hosts Johan or Sara. They

will guide you along the road to Kangos, a small village 150 km north of the Arctic Circle set in the northern Torne river valley. After arrival you will meet the huskies. While you are getting to know these remarkable animals, one of the guides is preparing your first wilderness lunch over an open bonfire. After lunch you will receive an introduction into the practical side of "mushing". We will prepare the sledges, you will harness the huskies and head out into the beautiful spring forest. The first day we will mush around 10-20 km.

Day 2 - 3 HUSKY MUSHING (B, L, D)

The days start with taking care of the dogs while the guide is preparing breakfast. After feeding the dogs, we eat our breakfast and discuss the tour of the day. Then we harness the huskies and heed of.

Weather allowing, we stop for some ice fishing and maybe a nap in the sunshine. We will cook and eat lunch outside. In the evening enjoy a sauna before settling down to sleep. We mush around 40-60 km per day during these two days.

Day 4 HUSKY MUSHING (B)

We start our day with giving the dogs a breakfast and then its time for our morning meal. Now it is time to pack the sleds and harness the dogs and start the last 18-20 km back to the Husky Camp. We end this journey with a cup of coffee in the kennel and time to say goodbye to your new found friends, the huskies. Transfer by car to the airport.

 Although we provide all guests with high quality

 extreme weather clothing for the duration of their visit,

 we must point out that this is the Arctic and we strongly

 recommend that you travel in warm clothing; waterproof

 footwear, wear hats and gloves. Additional personal

 clothing should include thermal under garments, wool and

 or thermal socks and additional layers of lightweight

 clothing such as wool and thermal vests. The temperatures

 really can be quite extreme and it is much more fun when

 you are warm!
