Experience the beauty of
the Lapland nature and the magic of winter light on
our husky safari tour. Come and
enjoy our fascinating
dog-sled safari in the beautiful winter scenery in
the Northwest of Lapland. Drive your own
dog-sled team of 4-6
dogs. The daily distances are between 15 and 25 mi.,
depending on your own health and the
weather conditions
during the safari. During the rest periods you can
admire the untouched naturally beautiful
landscape which is all around
you. You can take photographs, or just let the
silence surround you. The nights along
the way will be spent in
simple wilderness huts. with sauna, but without
shower, toilet and electricity. You take care
of your dog team
and help to prepare the meals together. Breakfast
and dinner are prepared in the huts, the light
lunch by open fire in
the wilderness.

Day 1 KITTILÄ - HARRINIVA (D)
Arrival at Kittilä airport and transfer to
Muonio, Harriniva Holiday Centre (approx. 1
hour). Get together with the safari group and
information about the program for the next days.
Dinner in Harriniva, overnight in cozy log
cabins near Harriniva.
Accommodation: Cabin at Harriniva
Day 2 HARRINIVA - HUSKY SAFARI (B, L, D)
After
breakfast you will be provided with the safari
equipment. You meet the dogs, the
sleds will be packed and instruction on how to handle the
sled. Start of the safari. We will spend the
next 4 nights in wilderness huts.
Accommodation: Wilderness Cabin
Day 2-6 HUSKY SAFARI (B, L, D)
The
safari will take you through the beautiful
winter scenery close to the Pallas-Ylläs
National Park in West Lapland. Overnight stays
in simple but cozy huts with sauna, but without
shower, toilet and electricity. You look after of
your dog team and help to prepare the meals
together. Breakfast and dinner are prepared in
the huts, the light lunch by open fire in the
wilderness. During the safari we take short
breaks as needed. The route will take you
through the beautiful forest scenery, partly
close to the treeless fell-region, over frozen
lakes and along the rivers.

Day 6 HUSKY SLED SAFARI (B, L, D)
Today you will cover a
distance of around 25 to 30 km. Lunch by
campfire along the way. During the afternoon you
will return to Harriniva. If time allows,
perhaps have a relaxing sauna, sitting by the
fireplace, sharing your experiences with
new-found friends. This evening enjoy our
Farewell dinner
with Lapp specialties.
Overnight in cozy log cabins near Harriniva.

Day 7 DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast and transfer to Kittilä airport.
