Great fun for adventurous couples, families, or individual guests looking
for active holiday in the snow, in the beautiful
surroundings of Lappish
nature. Meet the cute huskies, hop on to the sled
pulled by reindeer, experience the exciting
snowmobile driving or
stay at the hotel surroundings, enjoy ice-fishing,
snowshoe walking, building a snowman or
tobogganing.
Jeris nature resort is only 45 minutes drive from the Kittilä Airport.
Hotel Jeris is beautifully located in Finland Lappish
nature, next to the lake Jerisjärvi, by the Pallas-Ylläs National Park. Accommodation is in cozy log cabins for 2-7 persons
with own sauna, toilet,
shower, kitchen, fireplace and TV. The log cabins
are situated close to the hotel. The Jeris Spa,
sauna and pool area,
with 2 small warm pools, smoke sauna and electric saunas are also situated
nearby the hotel.

pool area are at your disposal every evening!

Day 1 ARRIVAL JERIS (D)
Arrival at Kittilä airport, transfer to Hotel
Jeris (45min). Dinner will be served in hotel
restaurant. Overnight in cozy log cabins close
to Hotel Jeris or double rooms.
Day 2 SNOWMOBILE SAFARI (B, L, D)
Breakfast in hotel restaurant. Meet and greet
with the safari group and your guide.
Information about the program for the
week. Your experienced guide will show you
how to drive a snowmobile and give you the
safety information. Then you will start the
snowmobile safari 30 km (2 persons per
snowmobile, children sit in guides sled). A
picnic lunch will be served during the safari by
campfire. On the way back we stop for ice fishing.
Duration of the safari is approx. 3
hours. After returning to hotel free time for
own activities. How about testing the
children snowmobile circuit today?
Dinner in hotel restaurant and overnight in
cabin.
Day 3 SNOW ACTIVITIES (B ,L, D)
This day will be dedicated to cross-country
skiing and snowshoe walking. The skiing
tracks start right next to the hotel and you will
learn the basics of cross-country skiing with
your guide. Lunch in the hotel restaurant.
After lunch we will go for a short snow-shoe
tour close to the hotel. Return to the hotel and
time to enjoy warm sauna. Dinner in the hotel
restaurant. Overnight in cabin/room.
Day 4 DAY AS REINDEER HERDER (B, L, D)
Transfer by bus to the reindeer farm (approx.
10 minutes drive). Visit to an old Lappish
house with reindeer herding equipment and
locals telling you about the life of the reindeer.
You will also have a chance to try your
reindeer herder skills in lasso-throwing and
by driving a short round yourself with a
reindeer sled. Lunch will be served in a
“tepee-kota” by an open fire.
Bus transfer back to the hotel.
In the afternoon you will have time for snow
activities in the hotel area, such as
tobogganing, snow shoe walking or cross-country
skiing. Or warm yourself in the sauna
and spa. Dinner in the hotel restaurant and
overnight in cabin/room.
Day 5 HUSKY TOUR (B, L, D)
After breakfast a short transfer to the husky
farm nearby. First you will hear about the life
of the sled dogs in the arctic areas and get
acquainted with the happy huskies. You are
given the safety instructions and driving
information and of we go for the 2-hour husky
safari - 2 persons on each dog team.**
During the safari you stop for a picnic lunch
by campfire. The driving distance is approx 17
km. Return to hotel. Free time for own
activities. Farewell dinner with Lapp
specialties will be served in hotel restaurant.
Overnight in cabin.
Day 6 FREE DAY (B, L, D)
This day is free for your own activities. You
can go cross-country skiing or for a snow-shoe
tour or take part on the excursion to Levi
skiing center. All meals will be served in hotel
restaurant. Overnight in cabin/room.
Day 7 Departure (B)
Breakfast and transfer to Kittilä airport.
