Location
Grand Hotel Reykjavík is a
first-class 4*hotel for business travelers, conference guests and tourists
who demand excellent service and facilities. Located in a quiet recreational
area, the Laugardalur area of Reykjavík, with easy access to the city
centre. It takes around 20-30 minutes to walk to the city centre. The
distance to the Kringlan shopping centre is similar. It is within short
walking distance of Reykjavik's most prominent sporting facilities. Next
door to Ásmundur Sveinsson’s Sculpture Museum and Laugardalur, the largest
public park in Reykjavík, offering several possibilities for outdoor
activities. Laugardalslaug Iceland’s largest swimming pool complex is is
within walking distance.
In May 2007 the Grand Hotel Reykjavik opened the new tower and is now the
largest hotel in Iceland.

The first-class à la Carte restaurant, Brasserie Grand, offers a varied menu
to suit every need. Its chefs offer both international delights and
mouth-watering, fresh Icelandic seafood specialties, whether you prefer a
quick bite or a full 4-course dinner menu. The wine list includes a wide
range of internationally recognized choices.
Rooms
The hotel offers a total of 100 rooms and Junior Suites, all equipped with a
mini-bar, safety deposit box, direct-dial telephone, satellite TV, wireless
internet, , trouser press, coffee/tea-maker, radio, hair dryer and a safe.
All of the hotel 314 rooms are very spacious and equipped with first-class
amenities, including an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. 209 of the
rooms are located in the 14 floor tower which was built in 2007. In addition
the new rooms have bathrooms with heated tile floors and separate bathtub
and shower stall. Iron & iron board, etc.
Grand
Spa opened in November 2007. First class Fitness centre and Spa, with
personal service.
Our hotel
guests can enjoy a treatment or a work out in the Grand Spa. The entrance to
the spa is not included in the hotel rates, for approx. US$ 60 you will get
access to the fitness centre, where you get assistance from a trainer, and
to the spa area with sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and get a nice shoulder and
neck massage while you relax.
Facilities
6 conference/meeting rooms accommodating 70 to 450 persons (theatre style).
A dedicated conference hall “Gullteigur” (opened in 1997), seating up to 450
people and doubling as a trade fair venue, offering audio-visual equipment
of the highest international standard.
The restaurant "Seven Roses" offers a wide a la carte menu selection of
delicious Icelandic seafood and international cuisine. Lobby lounge with Bar
and Hair Salon.
