Day 1 ARRIVAL UMNAS / LAPLAND (D)
When you arrive in Lapland, Storuman airport, you will go by car the last 100 km to Umnäs. Upon arrival in Umnäs we first say hello to the dogs. After that we will have dinner at host home or a light sandwich. We also take a look on what gear and clothes you need to borrow from us. We talk about your days with the dogs and how to mush the sled.

Day 2 - 5 MUSHING DAYS (B, L, D)
We harness the dogs in the dog yard; pack the sledges with lunch and the things you like to bring. Now we will have a lecture time in “how to drive” a team of dogs. After that it is time to pull the anchor, stand on the brake and GO FOR IT!

Out on the daytrips you will start to feel comfortable on the sled and learn all the basic about dogs and dog sledding. We mush around 40-50 km/day, driving through fairy tale forest, deep valleys, frozen lakes and rivers, and high mountain plateaus.

Day 6 DEPARTURE DAY (B, 30 mi)

Breakfast in your house. Pack your bags and say goodbye to the dogs. We will eat lunch, write the guest book and mark the maps over your days in the wilderness (if you like). Time to go home with a lot of new friends and amazing memories from Lapland!

 As a ‘hands on’ husky sledging adventure, this trip

 is aimed at those looking for a real taste of the

 wilderness. Ideal for single travelers as there is NO

 supplement! The longer trip is best suited to those

 who have had previous experience.
 

 Occasionally weather conditions may be unsuitable or

 other circumstances may cause changes to the itinerary.

 We reserve the right to change the program if required.
 Although we provide all guests with high quality extreme

 weather clothing for the duration of their visit, we must

 point out that this is the Arctic and we strongly recommend

 that you travel in warm clothing; waterproof footwear,

 wear hats and gloves. Additional personal clothing should

 include thermal under garments, wool and or thermal socks

 and additional layers of lightweight clothing such as wool

 and thermal vests. The temperatures really can be quite

 extreme and it is much more fun when you are warm!
