Day 1 ARRIVAL LUOSTO (D)
Sunday
Individual arrival to Rovaniemi (or Kittilä
airport), private transfer to Luosto, to Hotel
Aurora Chalet. Transfer time is about 1 h 20
min. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and
overnight in double room.
Meals: Dinner

Day 2 LUOSTO - ICE FISHING (B, D)
Monday
Breakfast is served daily from 8. to 10.00 am.
You will receive full-winter equipment for the
duration of your stay. At Hotel Aurora Chalet
there is a “changing room” in the bottom floor
where you can keep your personal thermal
overalls, warm boots and other equipment in the
closet.
All your winter activities start from Snow Games
safari house which is located next to your
hotel, juts on the other side of the road.
Afternoon:
13.30-16.00 Ice fishing tour – ride in a sleigh
drawn by snowmobile to a site suitable for ice
fishing. Coffee break around campfire in between
fishing.
Dinner (served daily from 6.00 pm ) and
accommodation.

Day 3 SNOWMOBILE SAFARI - REINDEER FARM
(B, D)
Tuesday
In the morning :
9.30-12.30 a snowmobile safari (about 1 hour by
snowmobiles /one way) to local reindeer farm,
where you get information about this original
animal of Lapland. You will have a brief ride
with reindeer-drawn sleigh and enjoy hot pot
coffee and small cakes in wooden tepee of
reindeer farm before returning back to Luosto by
snowmobiles.
In the evening:
17.30-19.30 Visit to Aurora House – learning
about the Northern Lights, return transfers by
car.

Day 4 CROSS-COUNTRY - AURORA BOREALIS (B, D)
Wednesday
In the morning:
10.-12.00 cross-country skiing school includes
all equipment, guidance.
In the evening:
20.-22.30 Snowshoe trek in the countryside in
search of the Northern Lights. enjoy hot drinks
during the trek.

Day 5 ROVANIEMI - SANTA VILLAGE (B, D)
Thursday
9.30-17.00 Full-day visit
to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, including
Arktikum Museum and visit to Santa Claus village
at the Arctic Circle. The most exciting place to
cross the Arctic Circle is the Santa Claus'
Village in Finnish Lapland. Santa comes to the
Village every day of the year to listen to
children’s wishes and to talk to people from all
over the world. At Santa Claus' Main Post Office
you can send your Christmas mail and order a
genuine Greeting Letter from Santa Claus for all
your friends!
Return to Luosto for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 SNOWMOBILES & HUSKIES (B, D)
Friday
In the morning:
10.30-13.00 Snowmobile safari to husky farm for
a ride for a dog-drawn sled lasting about 1 hour
(2 persons / team). Afterwards, enjoying roasted
sausages and black pot coffee by the fire.
Afternoon at leisure for skiing, cross-country,
Nordic walking or relaxing in the sauna.

Day 7 SNOWMOBILE
SAFARI - LUOSTO GEMS (B, L, D)
Saturday
11.30-16.30 Full-day safari with snowmobiles
includes visit to Amethyst mine, one of the
highlights of the Luosto region. Enjoy
snowmobiling, visit the interesting Amethyst
mine and enjoy a delicious lunch in a Lappish
‘kota’ during the day.

Day 8 DEPARTURE (B)
Sunday
After breakfast private
transfer to Rovaniemi or Kittilä airport. Your
Lapland Winter adventure has come to an end!
