Begin your journey in Oslo, the capital of Norway. enjoy the sights of the bustling capital, visit Vigeland Sculpture Park, Holmenkollen and the Viking ships. A short flight brings you to one of the most northern points to Kirkenes. Embark on the southbound sailing of the "World's Most Beautiful Sea Voyage, the Norwegian Coastal Voyage, a unique combination of first-class passenger ship and working ship. Highlights of your southbound voyage include Honningsvåg, Hammerfest, Tromsø, the spectacular Lofoten Islands with the captivating Trollfjord, Svolvær, Stamsund, Bodø, Trondheim, Ålesund, before arriving in Bergen. Enjoy optional shore excursions to the North Cape, in Tromsø, Harstad, Svolvær and the 1000-year-old city of Trondheim with its beautiful cathedral, the Nidaros Dom.
Bergen is the begin of your journey through the spectacular fjord region begins with a cruise on the mighty Sogne Fjord, longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the stay at the historic Kvikne's Hotel, dating back to 1850, when emperors paid visit to the Inn nestled on the shores of the Sogne Fjord. Ride the famous Flåm Railway from Flåm to Myrdal, ascending through the Flam Valley, passing tiny settlements, roaring waterfalls and snow capped mountains. Board the Bergenbanen for the scenic journey to Oslo, your final destinations of our Treasures of Norway!

 

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN OSLO

Arrive at Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Transfer on your own your hotel by SAS Flybus, stopping directly at your hotel. Overnight at the first class Hotel Bristol, ideally located in the city center near Karl-Johan Boulevard, the National Theater and the Royal Palace.

Day 2 OSLO (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Your day is free in Oslo to explore the many sights and museums. Perhaps a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump or a visit to the Viking Ship and Kon Tiki Museums. Overnight at the Hotel Bristol.

Day 3 OSLO - KIRKENES (B)

After breakfast, transfer on your own to the airport for your flight to Kirkenes. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to the hotel. Overnight at the Rica Arctic Hotel.

Day 4 KIRKENES - COASTAL STEAMER (B, L, D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Self-transfer to the pier. Today you embark on the "World's Most Beautiful Sea Voyage", sailing southbound from Kirkenes to Bergen. Cruise through the magnificent Lofoten Islands, the narrow Trollfjord, and call on ports such as Tromsø, Svolvær, Bodø, Trondheim, Molde and Ålesund before arriving in Bergen, capital of the fjords. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board. Overnight in your comfortable cabin on board the Coastal Steamer.

Day 5 - 8 COASTAL STEAMER - NORTH CAPE - TROMSØ - LOFOTEN - BODØ - TRONDHEIM - ÅLESUND - BERGEN (B, L, D)

During the next 4 days, experience the fascinating blend of the Coastal Steamer, a comfortable passenger- as well as working ship, still acting as the lifeline of Norway, delivering cargo and mail, as it sails along the rugged Norwegian coastline. Highlights of your southbound voyage are Honningsvåg, Hammerfest, Tromsø, Lofoten Islands, Svolvær, Bodø, Trondheim and Ålesund. Enjoy optional shore excursions to the North Cape, in Tromsø, Harstad, Svolvær and Trondheim.

Day 9 ARRIVE BERGEN (B, L)

Breakfast and lunch on board before your afternoon arrival in Bergen. Transfer on your own to the hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the fabulous Clarion Admiral Hotel, centrally located on the waterfront.

Day 10 BERGEN (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Perhaps join a city sightseeing tour, visit the colorful Fish and Flower Market, Bryggen, and Troldhaugen, or take a ride on the Fløybanen to Mt. Fløyen with beautiful view over the city and fjord. Overnight at the Clarion Admiral Hotel.

Day 11 BERGEN - SOGNE FJORD CRUISE - BALESTRAND (B, D)

After breakfast, transfer on your own to the nearby pier. Cruise through the mighty Sogne Fjord to Balestrand. Short walking transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. This evening enjoy the world-renowned buffet dinner at one of the most scenic first class resorts in Norway. Overnight at the historic Kvikne's Hotel, dating back to 1877.

Day 12 BALESTRAND - FLÅM RAILWAY - MYRDAL - OSLO (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own to the pier for your cruise to Flåm. Ride the famous Flåm Railway to Myrdal, where you connect with the scenic Bergenbanen to Oslo. Evening arrival in Oslo.

Transfer on your own to the hotel. Overnight at the first class Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel.

Day 13 OSLO (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Your Norwegian Treasures program has come to an end.

Option: Extend your stay in Oslo or take the DFDS cruise to Copenhagen.
