Day 1 KITTILÄ (D)
Arrival at Kittilä airport and transfer to Muonio - Harriniva Holiday Centre (approx. 1 hour). Meet up with the safari group and information about the program for the week. Dinner and overnight in cozy double rooms at the Harriniva Hotel.
Day 2 HUSKY SAFARI - CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
(B, L, D)
After breakfast we pack the equipment and start the skiing trek. Experienced guide will drive a sled dog team of 8-10 huskies and makes the track daily. The luggage is also transported by the lovely huskies in the sledge.
Day 2 - 6 SKI TREK (B, L, D)
Our skiing trek goes through beautiful forest scenery, partly close to the treeless fell region, over frozen lakes and along the river. The daily distances are between 15 - 25 mi. Overnights in simple but cozy huts without electricity, shower and toilet, but always with a sauna. Breakfast and dinner are prepared together in the huts, the light lunch by an open fire in the wilderness. You do not have to be an experienced skier; it is enough when you are relatively fit with some experience in cross-country skiing.
Day 6 SKI TREK - HARRINIVA (B, L, D)
During the afternoon return to Harriniva. Time to enjoy the Sauna and sit by the fireplace, sharing your experiences with your new-found friends. This evening is our Farewell dinner with Lapp specialties.
Overnight in simple cabins.
Day 7 DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast and transfer to Kittilä airport.
